Our Hellfire breeding foundation began in 2000 with a strong, very sound, and very beautiful bitch named Maia, Abitt of Hellfire MH CGC. Bred by Canadian Mr Manfred Huelbusch, she was blessed with an eye popping pedigree going back to 2X NAFC NFC CNFC Saighton's Scud more than ten times.
Maia was my third Master Hunter, but the first one I ever considered breeding. Although "just" an incredibly good gun dog, she had no faults (not in the field, not off the field) and will always be the measure for which our kennel strives. As a breeding bitch she has left behind an impressive, ever growing legacy of strong field trial and hunt test dogs, versatile performance dogs, and most importantly a legion of outstanding gun dogs.
Sadly, Maia quietly passed away in June of 2010 and I miss her beyond words. Thankfully, my beloved girl left behind the daughters, grand-daughters and great-grand-daughters you see below, and Hellfire looks forward to carrying on her very special tradition of excellence well into the future.
